Founded in 2006, the Grinnell Sure Shots Trap Team is a youth shooting sports organization committed to promoting firearm safety, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence. Our team provides young athletes in Grinnell and surrounding communities the opportunity to develop their marksmanship skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

What began with just a few passionate coaches and athletes has grown into a thriving program that welcomes shooters of all experience levels—from first-time participants to seasoned competitors. Over the years, our team has proudly represented Grinnell in local, state, and national competitions, fostering a strong sense of community and teamwork.

The Grinnell Sure Shots are more than just a trap team—we’re a family. We emphasize personal growth, leadership, and responsibility, helping each athlete build confidence both on and off the range.

We are proud members of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and work closely with volunteers, families, sponsors, and the community to ensure our athletes have every opportunity to succeed.
